End of Jan Term

Jan. 22-28

2 Peter 3:18: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

This week we pray for:

  • Students to finish their Jan Term courses strong, working hard and learning through the final day this Thursday.
  • Jan Term class groups traveling back from abroad (and other off-campus locations), for safety, peaceful re-entry, and solidification of all that they have learned and ways they have grown over the past month.
  • Students to be inspired to follow Christ and love others on and off campus.
  • Jan Term break, for safety for those traveling, encouraging time with family and friends, and choices that honor God.
  • That faculty and staff will be strengthened as they prepare for the Spring Term and the many tasks that lie before them.
  • Our final Jan Term Chapel Community Worship on Tuesday as we gather for worship together through music and testimony, particularly as we hear a monologue from a student about human trafficking and consider how God is inviting us to engage with this contemporary tragedy.
  • Spring athletics teams as they officially open practice for their seasons, for their coaches to be filled with God’s wisdom and love, for the teams to grow together in Christ-centered community, and for the student-athletes to be transformed by God’s grace through their involvement this season.

Thanksgiving:
Lord, we are thankful that your grace spills over into our lives daily and that you invite us to grow in the grace that has been so freely bestowed on all who believe in your free gift of salvation. We are grateful that we have the opportunity to dig our roots down deeply into the depths of your Word as you reveal to us the enormity of your grace, which is higher than the heavens and deeper that the ocean depths. Lead us forward this week in that grace and use us to share it with others in word and deed. Amen.
