Remembering the Power of God’s Love for Us

Jan. 30-Feb. 5

Scripture:
Psalms 36:7
How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among people find refuge in the shadow of your wings.

This week we pray for…

  • continued safety, fun, and refreshment for students during Jan Term Break.
  • Spring Semester Opening Convocation and our Founder’s Day Celebration, on Feb. 2. We particularly pray for Executive Vice President & Provost Carol Simon, both as she delivers the convocation address and as she provides vital leadership to the university.
  • students who are feeling overwhelmed with the complexities of life. We ask that God will give them the ability to trust in Him and to take the next step forward obediently.
  • the university’s ongoing search for a chief diversity officer, and for all of the staff and faculty searches that will be conducted this spring. We ask that God would give committee members wisdom, unity and insight as they seek the right persons for these important positions.
  • God to grant our students the courage to use their gifts and talents, bringing life and love to others.
  • our students to pray for and care for one another.
  • the Barnes and Noble employees in the bookstore, who will be quite busy this week. We ask that they would know and share the light of Christ.

Thanksgiving:
We are so thankful that because of your great love for us we are admonished to love others. Thank you for loving us and abiding in us. Please, Lord, teach us daily to walk in love and to let love be perfected in our lives.
