Jesus, the Lord of Creation

Feb. 29-March 6

Scripture:
Mark 6:45-52

This week we pray for…

  • our students, as they move beyond the exciting beginning of the semester into the less-exciting but busy days ahead; we ask that they will be able to stay focused on what is most important.
  • continued strength for our faculty and staff as they teach, lead and serve our Whitworth students.
  • our student-athletes; as our winter teams compete in playoffs and spring teams begin competing, we ask that they will continue to strive to be their best and to develop as men and women of character, according to God’s design.
  • campus worship offerings this week, including Tuesday and Thursday community worship, Hosanna, and AWAKE.
  • faculty assembly, as its members gather in conversation on matters affecting the welfare of the university.
  • families of potential Whitworth students who are receiving their financial aid packages; we ask that they would find the provision they need and that God would help them bring their students to Whitworth this fall.

Thanksgiving:
Thank you, Lord, that you are the Lord of Creation. You are the beginning and the end, the first and the last. You are the author and the finisher of our faith. We are so grateful that even when our faith is weak, you are strong enough to carry us. Help us to trust and lean on you even more with water-walking faith.
