Plans to Succeed

Jan. 25-31

Psalm 20:4
May he grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your plans.

This week we pray…

  • for students and faculty who are returning from their off-campus Jan Term classes, that they will be able to re-enter life here and share their experiences well.
  • for peace and learning for students as they complete their Jan Term finals.
  • for all the good seeds that were sown during Jan Term, that they would grow and bear fruit in the lives of students.
  • for students to find time for renewal and rest before entering into the spring semester.
  • for safety for students who are travelling during Jan Term break.
  • that every student will have the opportunity to grow and develop spiritually as well as intellectually in his or her time at Whitworth.
  • for students’ finances, health and spiritual wellness; in the midst of all the busyness, that burdens will be lifted off their shoulders.
  • for student athletes as they travel and participate in various sports and continue to show the Whitworth Pirate spirit.
  • with thanks for wonderful student-led Jan Term worship and community gatherings that occurred during the month.
  • for faculty and administrators of our university, that they may have wisdom in all that they undertake. Give them the courage to live out their faith as a beacon of light in higher education.

Lord, we are so thankful for Jan Term. Thank you for fulfilling the many plans that you have laid out for our lives. We are excited about the spring semester, anticipating all that you will do in this new season. We trust in you.
