Living As the People of the Messiah

Nov. 30-Dec.6

Scripture:
Galatians 6:10
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

This week we pray for…

  • students who may be going through economic challenges at this time and that their financial obligations will be met.
  • students to make choices to trust God in big and small ways and for increasing desire for prayer, worship, and community.
  • the art exhibitions on campus. That those who experience them would find delight in the wonderful gift of art.
  • campus worship: Tuesday’s community chapel service as we gather in worship for music, prayer, and a message from Campus Pastor Mindy Smith from Galatians. For Hosanna, as our students gather for a time of reflection, sharing scriptures and worship. For Wednesday night’s AWAKE gathering as students gather to learn who God is, who they are, and why that matters. For Thursday’s community chapel service of worship as we gather around the Lord’s Table.
  • “The Whitworth Life: Whitworth’s Untold Stories,” as Whitworthians from different parts of the university share true stories about important moments in their personal and professional lives.
  • Why Whitworth, as prospective students and their families tour our campus and learn about Whitworth.
  • Whitworth Act Six First-Year Seminar Presenters. Act Six Scholars will present how faith intersects with their own personal leadership.
  • the Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale by the Whitworth Women’s Auxiliary and the Winterfest Arts and Crafts Sale. A time of sharing in the Christmas spirit.

Thanksgiving:
Lord, we are so grateful that we are a part of the family of believers. May we continue to do good toward others, showing the love of Christ. We are so thankful that each and every day we have the opportunity to share the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
