Children of God in Christ and by the Spirit

Oct. 18-25

Scripture:
Galatians 4:1-7

This week we pray for…

  • our students, who are facing midterm exams; please ask that they will have peace, focus, encouragement, and perseverance.
  • Whitworth students, faculty and staff who have endured trials; we ask that they will be comforted in their time of need.
  • Pirate student-athletes as they travel to compete in various sports, representing the Whitworth community. Pray they’ll have fellowship and fun, that they’ll develop as people and grow with Jesus; pray, too, for our coaches to have the wisdom and strength to lead our these hard-working athletes.
  • our ongoing campus worship services: at Tuesday’s community chapel service, where Whitworth President Beck A. Taylor will preach from the Book of Galatians; Tuesday night’s Hosanna student-led worship and reflection; Wednesday’s AWAKE gathering for community and teaching in Jesus’ name; and Thursday’s chapel service, as we gather for fellowship, reflection, and the Lord’s Supper.
  • prospective students as we welcome them and their parents to Whitworth. Pray that God would provide peace and wisdom to those families and that God would continue to lead future Whitworthians to this place.
  • Whitworth Theatre’s fall production, as students present William Shakespeare’s Richard III. Pray for strength, joy, and hearts of worship as students, staff, and faculty perform during the weekend.

Thanksgiving:
Lord, thank you for all that you are doing in our lives. We are so glad that we are your children and that each and every day we are led by the Spirit of the Most High. As we follow your direction, we are grateful for all that you do for and through us.
