I Am the Alpha and the Omega

Nov. 19-25

Revelation 21: 3-4
God will dwell with them as their God; they will be his people; and God himself will be with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more!

This week we pray for…

  • safety for students, faculty and staff as they travel during the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • a much-needed rest for the entire community; we ask that they will experience renewal in being with family and friends during this short holiday.
  • Tuesday’s Chapel service, as Dean of Spiritual Life Terry McGonigal shares with us from Revelation 21:1-7.
  • Faculty Scholarship Forum, on Monday, as our faculty colleagues challenge each other to probe the mysteries of God’s revelation in all creation through their various fields of research.
  • searches for new faculty and for our next provost, as the selection committees work in the next two weeks to discern the best candidates for each of our open positions.
  • Initiative 2.6 of the Courage at the Crossroads 2021 Vision and Strategic Plan, as Whitworth seeks to enhance the competitiveness, profile and quality of selected academic programs by achieving specialized accreditation.

Lord we are thankful, for you are the one who is, who was, and who is to come. You are our all-sufficient Lord, who will not fail to complete the good work you have begun in us. Grant us thankful hearts for your daily provision of life, love, and community here at Whitworth.

Please include our Costa Rica Center fall students in your prayers. We will be visiting Cuba (Nov 23-30) and learning form a wide diversity of Cubans.
