Vision to See the Path

March 5-11

Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

  • Pray for students to see the vision and the path set before them, and ask that they have the courage to follow that path.
  • Pray for students to gain wisdom and to know the meaning and purpose of their lives and learning. Ask that they use their knowledge, understanding, and skills to help others for God’s greater glory.
  • Pray for the Faculty Scholarship Forum as its members meet this week to find the best ways to provide grass-roots support for faculty scholarship.
  • Pray for our athletes’ endurance and perseverance as they compete this month in the areas of basketball, swimming, tennis, golf, softball, baseball, and track & field.
  • Pray for our chapel service March 6, as President Beck Taylor shares a homily from Mark’s Gospel as part of the spring semester theme of “Miracles.”
  • Pray as students gather in the chapel on March 6 for praise and worship at Hosanna.
  • Pray for Whitworth’s annual mission fair on March 7, as 30 local and global organizations encourage students to serve in the U.S. and abroad during their academic careers and after graduation.
  • Pray for our community worship service on March 8, as we celebrate and share the Lord’s Supper.
  • Pray for the cast and crew as the spring theatre production, All My Sons, continues March 9-10.
  • Pray for students who entered Whitworth in 2011, as their highest achievers are recognized at the March 11 Honors Colloquium. Pray for these students’ continued success and for the success of all our students.
  • Pray for Initiative 4.4 of the 2021 strategic plan “Courage at the Crossroads,” as Whitworth seeks to strengthen recruitment and retention of faculty and staff to enhance diversity, and to expand leadership opportunities for women and for individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic populations.

Lord we are thankful that you have given us vision; we are grateful that we have purpose in you. Your Word truly is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Thank you for leading the way.
