Feb. 27-March 4

Psalm 31:24 (NIV)
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

  • Pray that students who may be struggling in their Christian walk will be encouraged and that their faith will be strengthened by the knowledge that others are praying for them.
  • Pray for students as they face challenges; ask that all of their financial, emotional, physical and spiritual needs will be met.
  • Pray as we gather for the President’s Coffee, a time for staff to hear from President Beck Taylor, to meet new employees, to listen to school updates and to share in devotions, on Feb. 28.
  • Pray as we gather on Feb. 28 in chapel as Dean of Spiritual Life Terry McGonigal shares from the Gospel of Mark on “Calming the Storm.”
  • Pray for our community worship service on March 1, as we celebrate in worship and share the Lord’s Supper together.
  • Pray for the upcoming spring theatre production, “All My Sons,” March 2-4. Ask blessings upon all those connected to the production and pray for a wonderful turnout as well as for a successful production.
  • Pray for Initiative 4.3 of Whitworth 2021, “Courage at the Crossroads,” asking that all members of the Whitworth community will be equipped to live, work and learn in relationships that reflect the call to love God and to love one’s neighbor.

Lord, we are so thankful that we have hope and that our hope is in you. Thank you for giving us the strength to endure. We are grateful that our hearts will not become weary and that in you we are strong. May we be uplifted and our faith illuminated by your glory.
