Jan. 30-Feb. 5

Scripture:
Psalm 36:7 (NIV)
How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Prayer:

  • Pray for our students as they experience the complexities of life. Ask that the Lord will give them the vision to see the path set before them.
  • Pray that God grants our students the courage to use their gifts and talents to bring God’s love to others.
  • Pray that students will continue to be encouraged to pray for one another.
  • Pray as Whitworth University comes together and celebrates Opening Convocation and Founder’s Day Feb. 2.
  • Pray for the success of the faculty art exhibit, “Smoke and Mirrors,” which runs through Feb. 11, and ask that students, faculty and staff will enjoy the exhibit featuring work by Whitworth’s gifted art faculty.
  • Pray for a time of relaxation for our students as some of them come together to enjoy fellowship and food on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 5.
  • Remember our men’s and women’s basketball teams as they prepare for important games against Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran in the fieldhouse on Feb. 3-4.
  • Pray for initiative 3.2 of our Whitworth 2021 strategic plan/vision statement, “Courage at the Crossroads.” Ask that Whitworth will meet the initiative’s goals of expanding opportunities for students, faculty and staff to engage people from other cultures on the Whitworth campus.

Thanksgiving:
We are so thankful for your great love for us, and for the fact that, because of that love, we are admonished to love others. Thank you for loving us and abiding in us. Please, Lord, teach us daily to walk in love and let love be perfected in our lives.
