Your Love Is Better Than Life!

Jan. 9-15

Scripture:
Psalm 63:3-4 (NIV)
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you, I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

Prayer:

  • Pray for our students, faculty and staff who began their travels abroad this week. Ask for their safety and for enriched learning experiences for all of our Jan Term travelers.
  • Whitworth is in the process of hiring for the following positions: vice president for student life, dean of arts and sciences, and dean of the School of Global Commerce & Management. Pray that we will discern God’s will, and ask for God’s wisdom for both the candidates and the selection committees.
  • Pray for our students as they make decisions in regard to healthy relationships and studies.
  • Pray that God will encourage students to achieve their goals and pursue their dreams.
  • Pray for our student-athletes as they strive to do their best in representing the Whitworth Pirate spirit.
  • Pray that our students will continue to share their faith with others.
  • Pray for Initiative 2.7 of the 2011-21 Plan “Courage at the Crossroads,” as we work to sustain and enhance intercollegiate athletics as a nationally recognized National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III program that is committed to academic and competitive excellence.

Thanksgiving:
We are so thankful, Lord, to know that your love is better than life; our lips will proclaim your goodness in our everyday lives. We are grateful that we can lift you up in praise as long as we live.
