Moving in the Right Direction

Nov. 14-20

Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

  • Pray that students will remain focused on their spiritual disciplines during this pressure- packed week, growing both in grace and in knowledge as they deal with the demands of their classes and other responsibilities.
  • Pray that students will be encouraged by faculty and staff to achieve their goals and pursue their vocations.
  • Pray that students continue to be thoroughly equipped to do good work and that they be prepared to share their faith with others.
  • Pray for small groups as the student leaders live and share the Good News.
  • Pray as the campus gathers for chapel on Nov. 15 to hear President Beck Taylor share from Philippians 3:7-11.
  • Pray as Whitworth’s men’s basketball team plays U.C. Santa Cruz in the fieldhouse on Nov. 17.
  • Pray as the campus gathers in worship and praise for chapel on Nov. 17.
  • Pray for the Whitworth Symphony Orchestra’s fall concert and for all who will be involved in this event on Nov. 13.
  • Pray for the Whitworth 2021: Courage at the Crossroads vision statement and strategic plan, Initiative No. 7: “Whitworth is a learning organization that values and equips all employees in advancing the university’s distinctive mission. Whitworth will recruit and retain highly qualified and diverse Christian staff and faculty members, and will offer competitive compensation and professional development that encourages employees to pursue excellence in their vocations and that promotes innovation and continuous improvement as an organization.”

We are thankful for the guidance that God provides for us. Even in dark times, God is The Way, The Truth and The Light, and God will guide our path.
