Meeting Our Needs

Nov. 7-13

Scripture:
Psalm 23 (NIV)
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want.

Prayers:

  • For students who are having financial struggles, pray that their needs will be met.
  • For students who are feeling anxious and overwhelmed, pray for peace.
  • Pray for students to be encouraged as they continue to build relationships and grow in their faith.
  • Pray for strength and encouragement for the faculty and staff as they continue their important work with students.
  • Pray for chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 8, as Campus Pastor Mindy Smith shares with us from Philippians 3:1-6; pray that we remember “to glory in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh.”
  • Pray for the community as the campus gathers in the chapel for communion on Nov. 10.
  • Pray for World Vision as they partner with Whitworth on Nov. 12 to host a one-day event, “Targeting Hope,” intended to mobilize the Spokane region for the common good.
  • Pray for the Whitworth 2021 Courage at the Crossroads vision statement and strategic plan, Initiative No. 6: “Whitworth aspires to be the university of choice for selected graduate and non-traditional undergraduate degree programs in the Inland Northwest. Whitworth will build on its strong reputation for advanced preparation and career advancement as well as for student-centered education, small class sizes, and innovative delivery models to offer programs that extend the university’s mission and influence and that serve the market.”

Thanksgiving:
We give thanks to God for being the keeper of us all and for meeting our every need. We are grateful knowing that we want for nothing, for God is our sustainer.
