Trusting

Oct. 24-31

Scripture:
Psalm 143:8 (NIV)
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

Prayers:

  • Pray our students will be physically and spiritually strengthened as they near the end of the first half of the semester.
  • Pray that students will be rested, focused and prepared for their midterm exams.
  • Pray for Whitworth’s teachers as they evaluate students’ progress at the midpoint of the semester.
  • Pray for the Whitworth community as it gathers for chapel service on Oct. 25 (Terry McGonigal will share from Philippians 2:12-18).
  • Pray for traveling mercies as students head home for Fall Break, Oct. 28-31, and ask that they will be refreshed and renewed upon their return.
  • Pray that God will continue to guide President Taylor as he leads Whitworth in its mind-and-heart mission.
  • Pray for Initiative No. 4 of the Whitworth 2021 Strategic Plan, “Courage at the Crossroads,” as Whitworth aspires to achieve and sustain a level of excellence that values the role played by a welcoming and diverse community in realizing our mission to “honor God, follow Christ and serve humanity.”

Thanksgiving:
We are thankful that God speaks to us in moments of uncertainty, and we trust in the Lord, who helps us make the right decisions when we listen and follow God’s guidance.
