Remaining Faithful

Oct. 17-24

Scripture:
Psalm 143:1 (NIV)
LORD, hear my prayer; listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.

Prayers:

  • Pray as students face challenging and difficult situations that they will find support and comfort on campus.
  • Pray that as the season changes, students will be reminded that God is unchanging, enriching us and molding us into the image of Christ.
  • Pray for Parents’ Weekend, Oct. 21-22; ask that as families reunite, they will share authentic conversations that will deepen their relationships.
  • Pray for all those involved in Whitworth Theatre as the fall production continues Oct. 21-22.
  • Pray that as our facilities staff members maintain our campus this fall and prepare for winter, they will be safe from accidents in their important work.
  • Pray for the staff and faculty as they work side-by-side to ensure that each of our students is taught well and faithfully.
  • Pray for Initiative No. 3.2 of the Whitworth 2021 Strategic Plan, “Courage at the Crossroads,” as the administration establishes ongoing assessment of study-abroad programs, working to ensure consistent quality and connections to Whitworth’s educational goals.

Thanksgiving:
We are so thankful that the Lord hears our prayers when we cry out to God, who is faithful, to bring relief to the people. We are grateful for the knowledge that we can always take refuge in our faithful God.

Note:
Please join us for community chapel on Oct. 18 as Mindy Smith will share from Philippians 2:1-11.
