Seasons Change

Oct. 10-17

Psalm 119: 49-50 (NLT)
49 Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope. 50 Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.

  • Pray as the semester progresses that students will continue to rely on God’s help as they adjust, study and participate in testing and other school activities on campus and in the community.
  • Pray that as students learn and grow this fall, they will be comforted during times of struggle.
  • Pray that students will continue to have healthy relationships with teachers, friends and classmates.
  • Pray for wisdom for our board members as they meet Oct. 12-14; give them courage as they continue to guide the university and implement the strategic plan.
  • Pray for all those connected with Whitworth Theatre’s fall production, Oct. 14-17, that each professor, actor and crew member will know the support of students, faculty, staff and the community.
  • Pray for our faculty members as they continue to pursue excellence in the classroom and how our students the path to success. Ask that they will teach with wisdom and passion.
  • Pray for Initiative No. 3 of the Whitworth 2021 Vision and Strategic Plan, “Courage at the Crossroads,” as expanding opportunities allow our students to study languages, engage other cultures, and explore understandings of justice in cross-cultural settings throughout the world.

We are thankful for a loving God of the many seasons. As the leaves begin to change, we are thankful that God’s power and love remain changeless and eternal. We are thankful for God’s promises to us and grateful that God comforts us in all our troubles.
